Barry Larkin’s heartfelt plea should force the Reds to rethink Nick Krall's status

Following Cincinnati's 8-1 loss to Chicago, Hall of Famer Barry Larkin stated the Reds are far behind playoff-contending teams and that change must happen. Reports indicate the team plans to retain president of baseball operations Nick Krall despite disappointing performance, a decision that has drawn criticism from fans and now from Larkin. Since Krall took over in 2020, the Reds have made one playoff appearance and were swept in two games, while the franchise hasn't won a playoff series in over 30 years. Larkin's comments, endorsed by Joey Votto, may pressure ownership to reconsider keeping Krall in his position.
