Cincinnati Reds clinch last place finish in NL Central

The Cincinnati Reds clinched last place in the NL Central with their 86th loss of the 2026 season on Saturday against Toronto. The St. Louis Cardinals secured enough wins earlier in the week to mathematically eliminate Cincinnati from finishing higher than last in the division. This marks the Reds' first last-place finish since 2018, ending an eight-year stretch where they finished no better than third despite avoiding the division basement.
