Cincinnati Reds vs. Los Angeles Dodgers – September 9, 2026

The Cincinnati Reds face the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight at 10:10 PM EDT, trying to avoid a three-game sweep while the Dodgers pursue their seventh consecutive win. Reds starter Rhett Lowder comes off a poor outing against Milwaukee where he allowed six earned runs in four innings, while Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto has been dominant since the All-Star break with a 2.32 ERA and a .175 opposing batting average in August. Lowder will need to improve his control after issuing four walks in his last start, particularly against a Dodgers lineup featuring three left-handed hitters who have hit .823 OPS against him this season.
