The Cincinnati Reds lost 10-9 to the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday when Dane Myers dropped a routine fly ball with two outs in the ninth inning that would have ended the game. The miscue allowed the Cardinals to score five runs in the inning, turning a 5-4 Reds lead into a 10-5 deficit. The loss dropped Cincinnati to 61-67, seven games behind the final Wild Card spot with 34 games remaining in the season.
