Elly De La Cruz shines, but the Reds lose to the Dodgers in LA

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Cincinnati Reds 3-2 on Tuesday, with Elly De La Cruz hitting a 444-foot home run—the longest at Dodger Stadium this season—to tie the game in the third inning. The Dodgers took the lead for good in the fifth when Teoscar Hernandez singled in a run off Nick Lodolo, who struggled with control and took the loss. De La Cruz extended his hitting streak to 15 games in his last 16 contests and now has 25 home runs and 25 stolen bases on the season, but the rest of the Reds lineup managed only three hits in the loss.
