One current Reds prospect who will be a future Silver Slugger winner

Alfredo Duno, a 20-year-old catcher prospect for the Cincinnati Reds, is positioned to become a future Silver Slugger Award winner. Signed out of Venezuela for $3.1 million, Duno has demonstrated consistent offensive excellence across multiple minor league levels, including a .945 OPS in the Dominican Summer League at age 17 and a .948 OPS at Daytona in 2025. After being promoted to Double-A Chattanooga in late June, he has performed impressively with a .322 batting average while significantly reducing his strikeout rate from 26.8% to 16.7%, a notable improvement despite facing more advanced pitching. MLB Pipeline ranks him as the organization's No. 21 prospect overall.
