Reds activate LHP Brandon Williamson, recall infielder Juan Brito as rosters expand

The Reds activated left-handed pitcher Brandon Williamson from the 60-day injured list and recalled infielder Juan Brito as rosters expanded to 28 players in September. Williamson, sidelined since the end of 2023 with elbow and shoulder injuries, will start Wednesday against San Diego with Chase Burns piggybacking. Brito, acquired from Cleveland at the trade deadline in exchange for Nathaniel Lowe, provides infield versatility as the Reds deal with injuries to Ke'Bryan Hayes and Elly De La Cruz.
