Reds Rumors: Possible top prospect promotion creates September roster questions

The Cincinnati Reds plan to promote 22-year-old outfield prospect Carlos Jorge to the major leagues, according to MLB insider Mike Rodriguez. Jorge started the season at Double-A Chattanooga with a .330 average and 23 stolen bases before advancing to Triple-A Louisville, where he's hit .263 in 29 games. The Reds can add him to their 40-man roster by moving injured players Michael Toglia or Spencer Steer to the 60-day injured list, and could make room on the active roster by optioning utility infielder Ivan Johnson back to the minors.
