Sal Stewart of the Cincinnati Reds won National League Rookie of the Month for August, his second such award this season after also winning in April. In August, Stewart batted .304 with 8 home runs, 21 RBIs, and a .530 slugging percentage across 29 games. For the full season, Stewart has 31 home runs and 105 RBIs, making him just the 14th rookie ever to reach both the 30-homer and 100-RBI milestones in a single year, and he leads all NL rookies in both categories by significant margins.
