Reds sure sound ready to move on from Tyler Stephenson

Tyler Stephenson is set to become a free agent, and Reds president Nick Krall appears uninterested in retaining him. Krall is shifting the team's approach away from power hitters like Jeimer Candelario and Eugenio Suárez toward players with better plate discipline and on-base skills, a profile Stephenson doesn't fit given his 27.4% strikeout rate and career OPS+ of 104. The Reds are likely to pursue catchers like Ryan Jeffers or Carson Kelly in free agency to better align with this new strategy.
