Reds To Activate Graham Ashcraft Off 60-Day IL

The Reds plan to activate right-hander Graham Ashcraft from the 60-day injured list on Sunday after missing over three months with a right forearm UCL sprain. Ashcraft has thrived as a reliever this season, posting a 3.33 ERA with a 29.4% strikeout rate through May before his injury, a significant improvement from his struggles as a starter. Spencer Steer, sidelined for the season with a wrist injury, will likely move to the 60-day IL to create roster space. The Reds' bullpen has ranked among the league's worst this season, making Ashcraft's return a meaningful addition to their middle relief corps.
