Seattle Mariners acquire Michael Toglia from the Reds

The Seattle Mariners claimed utility player Michael Toglia off waivers from the Cincinnati Reds after Cincinnati designated him for assignment. Toglia signed a minor league deal with the Reds in January but spent most of 2026 in Triple-A Louisville, where he hit .273 with 22 home runs over 97 games. He was called up by Cincinnati in August but appeared in only 10 games before suffering a torn labrum while making a diving catch, requiring surgery and ending his season on the 60-day injured list.
